PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Administrator – SCADA System Specialist:

Remote & local automation and industrial instrumentation. Programmable logic controller (PLC) & human machine interface (HMI) design, programming, and administration. Computer programming via HTML, Perl, PHP, Java, Javascript, C-C+, Visual Basic, Active Server Page, & VB Script. TCP/IP network administration. Redhat Linux, BSD Unix, Solaris, Apple Mac OSX, DOS, Windows XP, 7, 10, 2008 Server. Database administration under MySQL, MS Access, Oracle. Software application support and systems analysis. Computer, server and peripheral repair, upgrades and installation. Web site design and administration (Apache & IIS). Cisco Systems networking, managed LAN & WAN design and installation, including Voice-over-IP Telephony, switching, routing & gateways. Data communication over switched Ethernet, data circuits, T1, fiber optics, wireless Ethernet, White Space WIFI, and the Internet. IP network camera systems and digital image archive & retrieval. Project management and coordination on various treatment plant improvements. Project highlights include various control & PLC system upgrades, a complete Cisco VoIP phone system and a campus wide fiber optic network backbone. Design and engineering work using AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, network analysis tools and other engineering systems. Provided technical assistance (PLC & SCADA) to an electrical co-generation facility.

Supervisor of Instrumentation & Electrical:

Complete supervision of eight member union shop, including work order administration, purchasing, contracts, outsourcing, discipline, and procedures. Highlights include the restructuring of this section to improve work output and performance, repair & rebuilds of several 5K pump drive systems, the implementation of various wireless telemetry installations, and upgrades to variable frequency drives, flow metering, weather monitoring devices. Also administered key improvements to small & medium sized remote pump station facilities for enhanced monitoring from a centrally local command center.
